Mysore masala Khichu is a very tasty & easy recipe. It is highly recommended to try once.

Khichu- One of the most loved Gujarati dish and it is very easy to cook, anybody can make it at home. You can have this recipe anytime for your hunger cravings.





Ingredients
𝕱𝖔𝖗 𝖒𝖆𝖘𝖆𝖑𝖆-
  • dry coriander seed - 1 spoon
  • salt - as per taste
  • desiccated coconut - 1 spoon
  • dry red chilly - 2 nos
  • chana dal (split chickpeas) - 2 spoon
  • urad dal ( white lentil ) - 1.5 spoon
  • pinch asafoetida and turmeric powder
  • Sambhar masala - 1 spoon
  • 5 Black peppercorn
𝓕𝓸𝓻 𝓴𝓱𝓲𝓬𝓱𝓾
  • water 2 cup
  • prepared masala
  • rice flour 1 cup
  • oil & salt as per taste
  • papad Khar ( alkaline salt ) - 1/4 tsp {optional}
𝓕𝓸𝓻 𝓽𝓮𝓶𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓰
  • curry leave
  • mustard seed
  • oil
  • urad dal
  • asafoetida & 1 dry red chili

To make this recipe a quick and instant recipe it is suggested to have prepared masala in advance.
Its shelf life is 3-4 months in an airtight condition.
To prepare masala dry roast dry coriander seed, desiccated coconut, dry red chilly, chana dal (split chickpeas), urad dal ( white lentil ), 5 Black peppercorns. Now let it cool then add the remaining ingredients of masala and grind them.

After this step, we are ready to make our delicious khichu.
Keep water to a boil then add salt and oil with our prepared masala. Once it gets boiled add rice four and turn off the gas and mix it well with help of a belan.

now steam prepared dough for 5-10 min and serve hot with tempering and a little sprinkle of our prepared masala on top.
